Southland, California

 

PEC is the Owner’s Engineer for the Repowering of AES’ three generating stations in southern California with 4000MW of gas turbine-combined cycle plants. PEC’s scope includes preliminary design, thermal cycle evaluation, equipment specifications, project schedules, permitting support, capital and operations cost estimating, interface integration, EPC package development, and ongoing project technical support during execution.

 

PEC is currently is providing the engineering data required for the Application for Certifications for the submittal to California Energy Commission.

Client: Duke Energy International

Mexico, Peru and Guatemala

 

PEC provided engineering development services for a 1x1 GE 7FA combined cycle power generating facility in Mexico.  Scope included a study of alternative technology, site development assistance, thermal cycle modeling, conceptual design, cost estimation, schedule development, EPC bid package, EPC selection technical analysis and negotiation assistance.

 

PEC has also supported DEI in the development of cogeneration projects in Mexico, dual fuel and combined cycle conversion of a Siemens SGT6-5000F facility in Peru,  a Root Cause Failure Analysis for a LM6000 unit in Ecuador, and a project in Guatemala

Client: Caithness

Long Island, New York

 

PEC provided engineering development services for a 1x1 Siemens SGT6-5000F  combined cycle power generating facility on long island. Scope included site selection & development assistance, thermal cycle modeling, conceptual design, cost estimation, schedule development, technical analysis and negotiation assistance for EPC contract with Siemens.  PEC also provided OE services for other simple and combined cycle sites for Caithness on the east coast.

Client: Summit Power Group, Inc.

Vineyard, Utah

 

PEC provided engineering development services for a 2x1 Siemens SGT6-5000F  combined cycle power generating facility in Utah.  Scope included site selection analysis, environmental permitting support, review of OEM design documents, coordination of technical information, management of interfaces for natural gas, transmission and water, and coordination with local authorities.
